ICSAtlanta 1st Grade

Dear ICSAtlanta 1st Grade Parents,

As part of our ICSAtlanta Black History celebration, and in conjunction with Georgia’s ELA and Social Studies Standards, our 1st Graders have an exciting opportunity to participate and interact virtually with professional storyteller Gwendolyn J. Napier as she narrates the lives of George Washington Carver and Ruby Bridges.

The online session will take place at ICSAtlanta (1st grade students will watch from their classroom) on February 16th.

Welcome to 1st Grade at ICSAtlanta!

Welcome, we are glad that you are here and excited to get to know all of our wonderful first grade students. Please see below for a few important reminders:

  • Please make sure that your student has his/her lunch (or lunch has been ordered through our vendor) and water bottle each day.

  • Please check the agenda each evening and initial, indicating that you have seen the agenda for that day. Need to send a note? The agenda is the perfect place for a note to the teacher.

  • Please make sure that your child wears sneakers on the days that he/she has PE (which can be found on the Week At A Glance each week).

  • Please be patient with AM and PM carpool for the first week. It takes parents, students, and staff a bit of time to learn the process and make it efficient.

  • Please do not hesitate to reach out to your child's teachers via email with any questions, comments, or concerns. We love to hear from you! :-)
